High-tack films use a stronger adhesive than general-purpose wrap or window vinyl. They are built to bite into rough, low-energy, or uneven surfaces—think textured walls, dumpsters, machinery, plastics, ice chests, and safety gear(hard hats etc.) that gets knocked around daily.
